Most parent education programs are designed to improve child well-being following divorce by changing some aspect of parenting. However, there has been relatively little discussion of what aspects of parenting are most critical and the effectiveness of programs to change different aspects of parenting.
This issue brief provides an overview of parent education programming, research demonstrating its benefits, and information about different types and examples of evidence-based and evidence-informed parent education programs.
